1. Introduction
Fórmula Joel is a free and open educational tool. There is no sign-up, no login and no user area: anyone uses the site without identifying themselves. This policy describes, in verifiable terms, the little data the site receives and what it does with it.
2. Data Collected
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, tax ID or any registration data — there is no registration. The simulations you build are computed and returned to your browser, and are not stored anywhere: reload the page and they are gone. As on any website, our servers receive your connection's IP address in order to respond; it is used only to limit abuse (to stop anyone firing thousands of requests) and is kept in temporary memory, never written to a database.
3. How We Use Your Data
The IP address serves solely to protect the service against abusive use. The language preference serves to show the site in the language you chose. We do not use your data for profiling, advertising, marketing or any form of tracking, and we send no communications — we could not, since we have no way to contact you.
4. Data Storage
The project's database holds only public market information: quotes, financial statements and public-company registries obtained from B3, CVM and the SEC. No personal data is stored. The database is our own PostgreSQL, on a server under our administration, with TLS-encrypted connections.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share personal data — we do not hold any. The site is hosted on Vercel, which, like any hosting provider, processes the connection data needed to deliver the pages. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics or tracking tool.
6. Your Rights (LGPD)
Brazil's LGPD grants you the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to withdraw consent. In practice, since the site keeps no accounts and stores no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. Even so, if you have any question or wish to exercise any of these rights, the contact channel is in section 8.
7. Cookies
We use a single cookie, named NEXT_LOCALE, which stores only your chosen language (pt-BR or en) so the site opens in the right language on your next visit. It is functional, does not identify you and is not shared. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. You may delete it in your browser settings; the site keeps working normally.
